"Becoming a resident at Colwood Serenity House was the best investment in myself I ever made.
For basically the price of rent in this city I got so much support, advocacy and access to services - way beyond what I expected from a recovery house. The best part is that I don't have to tackle getting my life back on track all by myself, I feel like I have a team helping me.
It was the best decision I ever made and I wish I'd done it sooner. I am getting back on my feet and redeveloping my relationships with my family, my community and myself. " Traci

Through setting up Colwood Serenity House, Jo has responded to the cry for help that so desperately needed answering for quality, comfortable women's recovery housing in Canada. She is an excellent listener and is always seeking to improve the status quo. Jo saw the restrictions that were present in the current state of women's recovery housing and she took it upon herself to create a beautiful, safe space in beautiful Colwood, B.C., with the amenities and the structure that is so often missing from many transitional housing environments.
